The next meeting of the Warwick Society will welcome Jerry Birkbeck, chair of the Friends of Priory Park (FOPP) who will talk to us about the Park, its history and its future.
Priory Park once saw Queen Elizabeth visit its ailing owner. Later it was the retirement home of Queen Anne’s gardener, Henry Wise. The dispersal of the fabric of the house in the 1920’s led to the division of the site between county, borough and later district councils. The park today is confronting many issues. This will be an opportunity for Warwick Society members and guests to hear the views of the Friends. all welcome.
