A reminder of the next Society meeting: Tuesday 11th. October

Mr. Tim Clark on Warwick’s Industrial Revolution

Messrs. Parkes, Brookhouse and Crompton: who they were and how they came to establish a worsted factory in Warwick in the late 1700s,which at its peak employed some 500 people.

 In the Great Hall of  the Lord Leycester Hospital at 19.30.

 And an important opportunity to learn more about and to comment upon the proposal to build a new King’s High School on the Warwick School playing fields:

In advance of a planning application being submitted, Arup, consultant to the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation, would like feedback on the proposal. Public consultation events will be held at the Bridge Sports Centre, Warwick School, Myton Road, Warwick, CV34 6PP between 1530 and 1930 on Tuesday 11 October and Thursday 13 October 2016. The events are an opportunity to review plans for the project, speak to members of the project team and provide feedback.

Information on the project can be found at http://www.projectonecampus.co.uk/.  If you are unable to attend any of the events, copies of the information leaflet and feedback form will be available in the reception of the foundation offices on Myton Road and online.
