Plans from 26th August 2010:
Planning Application W2010/ 0877 Warwick Boat Club, 33 Mill Street,Warwick.
Dear Mr Wallsgrove,
We wish to object to proposal to erect an unsympathetic modular concrete store in the grounds of the Warwick Boat Club, any structure in this setting should be in timber and designed to reflect the attractive architecture of the club house. We would ask the Council to refuse planning permission for this application in its present form.
Planning Application W2010/0936LB 15 Mill Street, Warwick.
Dear Mr Wallsgrove,
We wish to object to the proposal to rebuild the garages at this site with a pitched roof. The new roof would intrude into the view of old roofs and backs of the Mill Street Street houses and into the view of the castle from Banbury Road which is a popular tourist route. Such views are protected by policy DAP 8 in the Local Plan. The new roof would detract from the Conservation Area and not enhance it. Planning permission for this application in its present form should be refused.
Planning Application W2010/ 0955LB 9 High Street, Warwick.
Dear Ms Prince
Down Pipe Grey 26 is a darker grey than that shown on the colour photomontage included in this application so may be a suitable colour for the shopfront at 9 High Street. Certainly dark colours are preferred for shopfronts in the Conservation Area. May we ask you to check with the Conservation Architect before deciding on this application. The applicant mentions the removal of accretions of paint as part of the redecorating, it would be interesting and pertinent to discover what colour the shopfront was in the past.
